In order to help the public library system become more relevant to contemporary consumers, I created an online rental service, that allows people to borrow books and read
them digitally or get them physically in the mail. Users can review and share their thoughts on the site, and with their social networks.

To launch the new service, trucks with WiFi and books to borrow will be parked in high foot-traffic areas like parks so New Yorkers know they can borrow books in a whole new way.

Although this is all I can publicly display, I've worked on a variety of brands, from beauty to toys, to high-end food, to pharma. Concept, design, and sometimes just some simple strategic business insights.

Some of that work is in production, some of it isn't. The projects above display the kind of work I love to do, but there's a lot more that simply pays the bills.

If you are curious to see anything else, shoot me an email and I'll send you other samples.

Turnstiles was an internal social media organizer developed at MIR. My role was to develop the visual identity, logo, and design of the website.

I started with the basic turnstile form, and then softened it. Discovering a nice negative space created by the rounded edges, I extracted it and then made the
shape negative again.

After finessing the negative space and turning it on a slight angle, the font “Melbourne” became the right choice because of its soft squared edges and weight. Given the direction of cyan for the identity, I chose to make the logo darker so it would stand out on the lighter parts of the website.

I could say the internet is a hobby of mine - but that sounds a little silly. I will say this, I love to make things with my computer. Sometimes it's wedding invitations for friends, sometimes it's a new Tumblr, and sometimes it's a social experiment.

I've found my little side projects to be the most cathartic way to do whatever I want - without a brand. Sometimes my projects produce a lot of great discussion. Sometimes, they are just simply something pretty.

Enjoy. (Click the image to view the original content source)

As partner of art & design of a start-up agency, my first task was to create the visual identity of Ladies & Gentlemen.

After creating the name, Ladies & Gentlemen, my first goal was to find the perfect ampersand. Hera Big was both elegant and unique.

The website would at first only have a few sections, but was the first impression for most people encountering Ladies & Gentlemen, so it had to be simple, clean, and straight forward.

To reward travelers for choosing Virgin Atlantic, why not give them the resources to control their itineraries down to the last minute?

SeatSwap gives you the power to change your seat or your flight by allowing passengers to trade amongst themselves. Passengers can simple swap seat assignments, or they can trade entire flight plans. They can even sweeten the deal by bartering with cash or miles.

Umbro’s new sportswear line, A frame, is aimed to capture football fans through the 1350 minutes a day they spend off the field.
We get consumers involved off the field by allowing their competitive loyalties to play out in their neighborhoods.
Each fan is loyal to one team, and each team already has a designated neighborhood.
In order to keep consumers engaged, we use what most people own, and never leave home without.
The mobile phone.

Here’s how you play:

Based on GPS, a ball will be thrown into play when the user is within 50 meters of a rival player.

Then each player will get a push notification informing them that the ball is in play.

The first player to respond to the push notification gains control of the ball.

If the player with the ball is in their rivals neighborhood, all they have to do is click a button to score.

If a player is in their own neighborhood, they must get the ball to their rival neighborhood by dibbling it or passing it there.

To pass the ball, the player can look on his neighborhood map to see who is in the rival neighborhood and pass it to a friend, who then scores.

To dribble, a player must physically go to the rival neighborhood himself, and once he’s within the neighborhood limits, he gets the push notification to score.
But, if the player comes within 50 meters of another rival, that rival can challenge and steal the ball.

Each team’s ongoing score will be displayed with the top players in each neighborhood, because local pride matters. At the end of every week the 5 people who score the most will win tickets to that week’s game.

Players will constantly play to score Umbro’s free tickets. Because at the end of the day - its all about the football.

Guess Who from Jamie Leach on Vimeo.

To get people to interact with the Hazbro brand in a new way we created Guess Who, the mobile game. By using popular digital behavior in a way that gets people to connect physically we're leveraging nostalgia in a whole new way.

1. PLAY WITH YOUR FRIENDS.
Connect to Facebook and play against a friend with something you have in common: your mututal friends.

2. PLAY WITH A STRANGER
Request a game with someone online who’s in the same location you are, guess who they are by using the chat function. When you’re sure who it is, go up to them and confirm! If you’re right, you win, and their picture will be unlocked. Which means earned points that you can trade for discounts at Hasbro.com
